Stray Kids' Latest Album 5-STAR Sets a Remarkable K-pop History Pre-order Record of 4.93 Million Copies

Stray Kids, the sensational K-pop group, has once again etched their name in the annals of music history. Their highly anticipated third regular album, 5-STAR, has achieved an extraordinary feat, garnering over 4.93 million pre-orders. This remarkable milestone not only sets a new record for pre-orders in K-pop but also reinforces Stray Kids' status as a global force to be reckoned with.

Building on their previous successes, Stray Kids' second regular album, 'NOEASY', amassed a total of approximately 1,675,000 copies in sales (based on the latest data as of May 20). The group emerged as a million-selling artist three years after their debut, and their subsequent mini-albums, 'ODDINARY' and 'MAXIDENT', further solidified their position by achieving consecutive million sales, with approximately 1,856,000 and 3,421,700 copies sold, respectively.


The anticipation for Stray Kids' latest album stems from their ever-growing popularity worldwide. Having previously topped the prestigious US Billboard 200 chart for two consecutive years and achieved a historic sold-out performance at a North American stadium, Stray Kids' influence continues to soar. Notably, they became the first fourth-generation K-pop boy group to surpass 400 million views on a music video on YouTube. With the release of 5-STAR, Stray Kids is poised to cement their status as a global trendsetter.

The album features a total of 12 tracks, including the title song 'Special' co-written and produced by Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han, the masterminds behind Stray Kids' producing team, 3RACHA. Other tracks such as 'Great People', 'ITEM', 'Super Bowl', 'TOPLINE (Feat. Tiger JK)', 'DLC', 'Let's Die', 'Crash', 'FNF', 'Youtiful', 'THE SOUND', and 'Time Out' showcase Stray Kids' talent in writing and composing, resulting in a full-fledged five-star masterpiece.
