Amy Wadge, the Welsh singer-songwriter who co-wrote Ed Sheeran's hit song «Thinking out Loud,» has recently won a copyright infringement case, expressing her relief after the successful outcome. This news comes just after Sheeran won his own copyright battle over the same track in New York. The high-profile case drew attention from all over the world, with many speculating about the verdict.

Ms Wadge's victory in the copyright infringement case is a welcome relief, especially after Sheeran's win. The court in New York ruled that Sheeran did not copy Marvin Gaye's «Let's Get It On,» despite claims from heirs of Gaye's co-writer. The verdict had been highly anticipated, with both sides fiercely defending their claims.

After the verdict, Amy Wadge took to social media to express her gratitude towards the people who supported them throughout the case. She also thanked Sheeran, with whom she has been friends for 17 years. «That song changed my life, but today I realize it was way more important than I could have ever contemplated,» she said. «For songwriters, for creatives, we have all won today.»

The hit song «Thinking out Loud» won Ed Sheeran and Ms Wadge a Grammy in 2016, which was presented to them by Stevie Wonder. Sheeran has always maintained that he wrote the song at home in England and had been inspired by his grandparents and a new romantic relationship he had just begun. He previously said that he and Ms Wadge wrote the song while sitting on the sofa after having dinner together.
