Global wrestling superstar Sasha Banks, also known in NJPW as Mercedes Moné, is set to compete in a historic one-night tournament for the STRONG Women's Championship on May 21. The event, hosted by AEW, CMLL, STARDOM, and NJPW, will take place at Resurgence in Long Beach, California, and marks the first time these major wrestling promotions have come together for a women's championship tournament.

Banks, a former IWGP Women's Champion, will face off against CMLL luchadora Stephanie Vaquer in the first round. Meanwhile, STARDOM representative Momo Kohgo will take on AEW's Willow Nightingale on the other side of the bracket.


The tournament promises to be an exciting night of wrestling, with the winner being crowned the first STRONG Women's Champion. For those unable to attend in person, the action will be available to watch live in English on NJPW World PPV.
